So we’re headed to Kenya today…I think the deal is that we leave from NewSpring Anderson at 10:30am, get at Greenville-Spartanburg airport, fly out at 2:20pm (maybe..?), arrive in London at some time, and then go to Nairobi. I don’t even know or remember layover times so we’ll pretend they’re going to be nice and easy…right.

Anyway, although I haven’t written on here in a long time, this will be my last post until I return from Kenya on August 30. I’m incredibly excited not just for this trip, but for those in the Church body who will follow in obedience to what God has called them to do.

God has blessed me in unimaginable ways, about which I’ll go into more detail when I return from Kenya, in light of my obedience to Him and his calling. I’m not saying this to brag, be cocky or arrogant, or puff myself up, but I want to say this as encouragement…be obedient to what God has called you/told you specifically to do. Do not give up. God delights in us when His children obey His voice.

I’ll say what God told me last week, “Don’t consider the consequences, only consider My call.” That’s all I’ve got. More detail and explanation will follow after Kenya, but until then, I pray that anyone and everyone that reads this would be obedient to God’s call on their life, whatever that looks like.

We leave. In 20 minutes, actually. So what can I ask for? Prayer. Lots of it. If you are reading this, commit to praying for me and my team for the duration of our trip EVERY DAY (Aug 20-30). We need God’s favor, blessing, protection, providence, you name it! My prayer is that God would absolutely just blow our minds while we are over there.

I would love for people to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. I would love for people to be healed in His name. I would love to see the naked clothed and the starving fed. But right now, it’s all in God’s hands. Whatever he chooses to do, he is sovereign and just to do it.
